Scientology Volunteer Ministers Asian Goodwill Tour Bringing Effective Solutions to Kin Men Island
 | | As they learn the value of the technology, more and more new Volunteer Ministers don the famous yellow t-shirt and join the team. |
Kin Men Island has its own special message for Scientology Volunteer Ministers over the world. That message is that no matter how remote the location, people need the help of the volunteer minister.
Kin Men, which means "Golden Gate," is part of a small 12-islands archipelago, run by the Taiwanese Republic of China. The island, which is only twice the size of Manhattan, has a population of just over 60,000 people.
Although once a strategic military target, when it served as an island fortress and an outpost for Chiang Kai-shek during the "Taiwan Strait Crisis" of the 1950s, it is now a quiet tourist spot, which has no other industry to guarantee its future survival.

And so officials are eager to learn what the Volunteer Ministers have to offer, to revive the spirit and purpose of the island.
Since its grand opening on Kin Men, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Asian Goodwill Tour have been working with local community leaders to bring the technology of L. Ron Hubbard to the people of the island.

The Director General of the Kin Men Police Bureau asked the Volunteer Ministers to help raise the level of communication of the members of the police force.
The Deputy Director of the Fire Brigade and 22 of his crew attended a seminar where they learned to deliver Scientology assists — a vital technology for people who are called upon to help whenever disaster strikes.
New Volunteer Ministers are coming on board every day, as word of mouth spreads on the gains to be had from the technology from the Scientology Handbook, by L. Ron Hubbard.

Assists are techniques developed by L. Ron Hubbard. They operate on the principle that one tends to withdraw mentally or spiritually from an injured area. Only by restoring communication with this area can one bring the spiritual element into healing, thereby greatly speeding the healing process. Assists are used to alleviate stress, or to orient a confused or distraught individual to his present environment.
