Arizona Scientology Volunteer Minister Takes Time Out to Help
While Scientology Volunteer Ministers are renowned for their compassion in the wake of disaster there is another side to the story, the little disasters that effect people.
While an Arizona Scientologist was walking along one of the area's many mesas through a Hopi Indian reservation, she noticed a fellow traveler was upset. She questioned him and she found that he was having a hard time, made worse by the pain he had from having a strained neck.
As a Scientology Volunteer Minister she knew there was something she could do to help him. So she stopped and gave him a Scientology assist. And he immediately started to feel much better.
Assists are techniques developed by L. Ron Hubbard, and are described fully in the Scientology Handbook which is available online. Scientology Assists operate on the principle that one tends to withdraw mentally or spiritually from an injured area of the body. Only by restoring communication with this area can one bring the spiritual element into healing. These Scientology Assists are used to alleviate stress and to orient a confused or distraught individual to the present environment.
